This is the office where all birth, death, Marriages ... of Portuguese Nationals born or dead outside Portugal are registered. All the documents that we prepare here in Goa to submit for the registration of Birth or "Transcricao de Nascimento" are forwaded to this office. The office verifys the various documents and than allocates the Nationality "Atribuicao de Nacionalidade"

Arquivo De Identificacao Civil or Servicos De Identificacao Civil

This department issues Bilhete De Identidade or commonly known as "B I". These offices are located in every district of the Country (Portugal) and in some cities also. Upon completion of the "Transcricao De Nascemento" or Birth Registration the Portuguese Consulate here in Goa advises to apply for "B I"

Governo Civil
