Majority of the applicants who have applied for the Portuguese Nationality are in serious need of updates of their process status. The so-called Portuguese Passport Agents in Goa are of no help in this matter. They advise you to send a letter to the Conservatoria dos Registos Centrais and they draft the letter and charge you Rs. 200 – 300 for this letter than it is your duty to mail it or fax it. Many such letters are either lost or send to the garbage bin in Portugal, some do get replies. The Portuguese Agents have no connection in Portugal even if they tell you they are good friends with employees working at the Conservatoria.

I have read of what you have to say about the pending or new nationality process in registos centrais. Let me inform you that there is no such charge as 1800 euros for transcription of birth in CRC. If it does exist then let me know the lei no and the year of publication. i hope you know whats D.L 237-A/2006.

I too know that there is no official charge of euro 1800 and like myself all of them are aware about it. I think you need to read the posts before you can comment.
CRC charges euro 5.00 only for applicants born before 19th dec 1961.
is there any way to fins out our process status online, i know there is some sort of facilities available at portugal consulate website in goa, but is there any way find out about status in Lisboa..???
